Our Translators & Editors

At Language Concepts  we only work with professionals with vast experience in the translation industry who share our commitment to high quality standards and our constant pursuit of excellence.

Every single in-house and contracted translator, editor, proofreader and localization team that work for Language Concepts is required to translate or review into their native language only and meet the minimum following criteria:

  • Be graduates of respected Translation Schools and/or be accredited by organizations such as the American Translators Association (ATA) and/or the Bar of Translators of their respective countries
  • Have a minimum of five years of experience (Translators) in the particular industry or subject matter
  • Have a minimum of ten years of experience (Editors) in the particular industry or subject matter

 

Additionally, translators are always under constant evaluation. We closely monitor translation quality and attention to detail.

Our Project Managers

Another characteristic that makes us stand out from our competition is that Language Concepts’ clients work with project managers who have worn the translator and editor hats in the past either at translation companies or at corporations. Therefore, they not only understand the “ins and outs” of a translation process, but always have in mind the business objectives of the project. They know exactly what questions to ask and how to help businesses make sure their translated and/or localized communications, materials or websites work and resonate with the target audience.

Quality Assurance

Even though translations are performed by native and experienced translators who live within the culture they translate for, every single job goes though a strict quality assurance process.

Once the translator (who is an expert in the subject-matter) has finished the translation, the translation is reviewed by a different experienced editor who makes sure concepts and nuances have been accurately translated, make sense, and, ultimately, reads as if it were crafted in the target language and resonates with the target audience.

Finally, before the translation goes back to the project manager, the designated proofreader will review the final translation to make sure that the text is free of typos, punctuation, and/or spelling errors also paying attention to layout and design.
